Vertimek

аккарицид вертимек

Non-systemic insectoacaricide of biological origin, intestinal contact action. It is used to protect garden crops and indoor plants from ticks, mining insects, thrips and other pests. Active ingredient: abamectin abamectin, at a concentration of 18 g/l abamectin. Abamectin is a natural fermentation product of the soil bacterium Steretomyces avermitilis. Manufacturer: Syngenta Crop Protection AG, Switzerland. Available as an emulsion concentrate in 2 mL vials. Hazard class - 2 (hazardous substance).

Product features

Abamectin belongs to the chemical class of avermectins with a neurotoxin-type mechanism of action: they are a stimulator of the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid, which inhibits the transmission of nerve impulses and causes paralysis in insects and ticks. After spraying with the drug in a day, ticks lose activity, complete death occurs in 2-3 days due to inhibition of nerve impulses and paralysis.

There is a possibility of resistance (tick addiction with frequent treatments). To prevent resistance, it is recommended to alternate with acaricides from other chemical groups that differ in mechanism of action.

Instruction

To get rid of ticks, prepare a solution of vermitek acaricide and thoroughly spray the plants and soil surface in pots.

Due to the high toxicity, one treatment is usually carried out, but if necessary, repeated spraying is possible after 3-4 days, if the temperature is above 25 ° C, after 5-7 days, if cooler. Do not store the prepared solution, ventilate the room after spraying and do not allow the sprayed solution to get on household items or furniture.

Flow rates

Dilute 1 mL of the drug in 1 L of water. This solution should be sufficient to completely wet the entire leaf surface of plants, but the solution is not allowed to flow into the soil. The protective period of vermitec acaricide is 2-3 weeks.

Vermitek - reviews

According to the results of the use of vermitek, flower growers with rukodelie.net/plants have the following opinion:

  • When watering in the ground, Vertimek does not work, so there is no point in watering them, only spraying them on the leaves. An exception is orchids planted in the bark, you can water the plants, immediately drain the liquid from the pallet.
  • Vermitec is well tolerated by plants, no burns or spray stains were observed.
  • The drug does not destroy beneficial insects.
  • Vermitek is simply indispensable if flowers were attacked simultaneously by two types of pests, for example ticks and thrips. In this case, you need to destroy both, Vermitek copes very well.

Toxicity

The abamectin-based drug belongs to hazard class 2 for humans and hazard class 1 for bees. It is dangerous if it gets on the skin, inhales fumes, irritates the mucous membranes of the eye. For warm-blooded animals, abamectin is a potent poisonous substance. Not phytotoxic if dosage is observed. Abamectin is inactive in the soil, quickly decomposes by soil organisms. Residues of the drug that have not penetrated the leaves become non-toxic after a few hours.

Security measures. Perform processing using personal protective equipment (respirator, goggles). During work, you can not smoke, drink, eat. After work, wash your face and hands with soap and rinse your mouth. Store the product in a dry cool room at a temperature from -15S to + 30C, separate from food and medicine, in places inaccessible to children and pets! Storage of the working solution is not allowed. When used in personal subsidiary plots, it is prohibited to mix with other drugs.

First aid in case of poisoning: if the drug gets on the skin, wash it off with soap and water; in case of contact with eyes, rinse abundantly with running water; if you get into the digestive tract, drink 3-4 glasses of water, induce vomiting, take several tablets of activated carbon, seek medical help. When poisoning with abamectin, barbiturates cannot be given, since they increase the activity of this substance.
