Trichophyte

Trichophyte is a biological drug for combating diseases of indoor and garden plants. This concentrate, which contains a suspension of fungi of the genus Trichoderma, is an analogue of the drugs trichodermin and phytosporin. It is considered safe for use at home. In addition to the useful mushrooms themselves and their waste products, Trichophyte can contain small doses of nutrients: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, boron, zinc, iron, copper.

Active ingredient: live cultures of fungi Trihoderma lignorum Tree trichoderma.

Manufacturer: Trichofit - Agroalliance LLC, Stavropol, Trichofit plus - Agrotechnology LLC, Kursk, etc. Chemical class: Bacterial fungicides and biological pesticides. Impact rate - from the moment of treatment. Duration of protective action up to 10-14 days.

Available in liquid form (suspension), packaged in a container of 120 g, 500 g, 5 liters.

Mechanism of action of Trichophyte biologics

  • fungi of the genus Trihoderma parasitize on phytopathogenic fungi - they produce mycolytic enzymes and destroy the cytoplasm of their cells, lysis (slow dissolution) of pathogenic fungi occurs
  • fungi of the genus Trichoderma secrete volatile and non-volatile antibiotic substances (gliotoxin, viridine, alamecin), which also show bacteriostatic activity

Trichophyte application

Trichophyte is used against diseases such as:

трихофит
  • anthracnose
  • bacterial spotting (black rot)
  • white spotting
  • vilt (verticillosis)
  • red-brown leaf spotting
  • soft rot (black leg)
  • rhizoctoniosis (fringed spotting)
  • grey rot
  • sclerotiniosis
  • dry and wet tuber rot
  • tracheomycosis (tracheomycosis wilt)
  • phytophthora
  • fomosis
  • fusarium (fusarium rot)
  • cytosporosis

Trichophyte instruction

Trichophyte is used to prepare seeds for sowing, preventive treatment of seedlings, preparation of land before sowing and planting, for spraying vegetative and fruiting plants, for watering soil in pots with flowers and boxes with seedlings. Treatments can only be carried out overnight (the closer to the dark, the better). The frequency of treatments can be 7-14 days, depending on the weather (in heat above 28 ° C, the efficiency decreases, in rainy weather it is sprayed 30-40 minutes before the rain or immediately after the rain.

Trichophyte consumption rates

  • For garden and garden crops 100 g of trichophyte per 10 liters of water with preventive treatment.
  • For garden and garden crops, 200 g of the drug with pronounced signs of the disease (fusarium, spots, root rot, etc.).
  • With a strong degree of development of the disease, dilute the 1 part of the concentrate on the 2 part of the water. Reprocess in 10 days.
  • For indoor plants, 25 g per 1 liter of water (20-22 ° C, not higher) - 2-3 treatments at weekly intervals.
  • To soak the seeds: dilute the trichophyte in 1:1 water and soak the seeds for 12-18 hours (in the dark).
  • For seedlings, dilute 25-30 g per 1 liter of water.

Water the soil with the prepared solution or spray on the sheet. Use the solution immediately after dilution.

Features of Trichophyte

The action of fungal antagonists of phytopathogens is blocked in the presence of yeast, as well as in neutral and alkaline solutions. Therefore, the use of trichodermin is justified only on slightly acidic soils, if the plants are planted in another soil, or alkaline components (lime, etc.) are added to the soil, it makes sense to pre-water the earth with water acidified with citric acid.

Optimal conditions for the action of Triophyte: temperature 24-28 ° C, relative soil moisture 70-100%, pH 4-6.

Upon contact with sunlight, the vital activity of the Trichoderma strains is completely blocked, therefore, when applied to the soil, simultaneous boronation is required.

Trichofite can be stored for 6 months at a temperature of + 2-10 ° C for up to 6 months (without opening the container and access to light), freezing is unacceptable . Therefore, if the biofungicide did not help your plant, check the manufacturing time (on the bottle) and remember the date of opening the drug.

Fertilizer dosage: N - 5-10%, P - 2-10%, K- 2-10%, S - 0.01-0.03%, B - 0.05%, Zn 0.08-0.1%, Fe - 0.02-0.05%, Cu - 0.08-0.1% is not indicated in the drug of the same name from every manufacturer (only Agroalliance LLC), and such quantitative the composition does not allow biofungicide to be considered as a replacement for conventional fertilizers

Trichophyte - reviews

This fungicide does not save from viruses and a number of diseases such as powdery mildew, rust, scab, etc. - there are more effective means against these diseases. Trichophyte, like phytosporin, is not a panacea, and not as lethal as advertised by manufacturers. Among the 60 types of declared pathogens, the effectiveness is clearly expressed only on certain infections, for example, gray rot or root rot. But the fight against tracheomycosis on orchids can refuse completely inconclusive in advanced cases.

Trichophyte works well as a preventive measure, especially in notoriously disease-prone cultures. For example, on strawberries and raspberries, it is worth adding trichophyte to the soil in the spring, and then at the beginning of flowering, spray with a 1% solution (100 g per 10 liters of water). Trichophyte helps very well against dry rot of potatoes and vegetables.

Trichophyte compatibility

The drug is compatible with many chemical pesticides: Bailleton, Show jumping, Agrolecar, Chistotsvet, Karbafos, Iskra, Inta-vir, Talstar, Applewood, etc. in the concentrations recommended for use. Important: do not combine with solutions having an alkaline reaction! Do not use ordinary soap as a sticking agent when diluting tank mixtures, only agents with a pH of 5.5.

In the fight against infections, especially when the pathogen is unknown, it is advisable to use Trichophyte and Haupsin together (contains strains of Pkeudomonas aureeofaciens bacteria), while holding the solution (in order to increase the amount of beneficial bacteria) is unacceptable, otherwise Haupsin bacteria suppress or neutralize Trichoderma.

Toxicity

Trichophyte has hazard class 4 for humans (can cause slight irritation of the mucous membrane upon contact with a drug or solution) and hazard class 3 for bees (border protection zone for bees 4-5 km). Trichophyte is not phytotoxic, does not accumulate in plants and fruits.

Security measures

We remind you that while working with any drugs, you should not smoke, drink coffee and eat croissants and kebabs. Be sure to wash your hands after work. If, due to a misunderstanding, someone drank the contents of the bottle, drink 3-4 glasses of water, induce vomiting, take 10 tablets of activated carbon. Remember that class 4 toxicity does not mean absolute safety.

Store the tightly closed product in a dry room, at 5-15 ° C, separately from food and medicine, in places inaccessible to children and pets. Storage of the working solution is not allowed.
