Skor is a contact and systemic fungicide intended to prevent and treat a number of plant and flower diseases. It is also used to prepare (protect) seeds for sowing and storage.
Active ingredient: diphenoconazole, 250 g/L. Chemical class: triazoles. Manufacturer: Syngenta, Switzerland. Hazard class: 3 (moderately hazardous substance).
On sale you can buy a liquid emulsion (CE) - in vials and ampoules, during dilution it forms a cloudy whitish solution. Shelf life is 3 years from the date of manufacture. Analogues: Discor KE (AGRUSHIM LLC), KE Keeper (Euro-Semyon LLC), Chistotsvet, KE (August Firm CJSC).
Speed application
This fungicide protects and helps fight against:

- scabs
- powdery mildew
- gray rot
- spots
- curly leaves
- klyasterosporiosis
- coccomycosis
- alternariasis
- phytophthora
- septoriosis
- brown rust
- beet cercosporosis
- root rot
- seed moulds
Effective against a number of diseases on grapes:
- oidium
- fomopsis
- rubella
- black rot
Skor is effective on any indoor and garden plants and flowers. This is the drug of choice for scab of apple, pear and other seed and stone crops. Systematic use can cause the formation of resistant forms (for example, powdery mildew), after 1-2-3 treatments it must be replaced with fungicides from another chemical group.
If pathogens already form spores on infected plants, Skor is ineffective!
Features of Scor fungicide
- It penetrates into the tissues of the plant and 2 hours after spraying it spreads through the vascular system of the plant and completely blocks the growth of mycelium of pathogens, reduces the level of sporulation (only to a small extent). When treating seeds, diphenoconazole penetrates through the seed membranes, persists until growth begins, then also moves through all the tissues of the sprout.
- The action of the drug Skor does not depend on the rain of heat and wind, however, there is an optimal temperature range at which its action is most effective: from 14 to 25 ° C, at temperatures below + 12 ° C the response decreases sharply.
- Protection of healthy plants from scab and powdery mildew is 6-7 days, infected plants - 4-5 days.
- Skor has immunizing properties: it increases the area of leaves, the length of the shoot and the amount of leaf mass and bushiness by an average of 1.5 times.
- The drug helps to increase the yield of vegetables and berries due to the longer preservation of the photosynthetic surface.
- The speed accelerates the germination of seeds (on comparative experiments on vegetables for an average of 48 hours), allows you to get more friendly seedlings.
- The drug allows you to increase the tartness of the seeds, process before removing the seeds for storage.
Speed - instructions
As a prevention of diseases, you need to carry out two sprays before flowering and two after flowering. The first spraying in the pink bud phase, next with an interval of 10-12 days. As a treatment, spray as soon as symptoms of the disease are detected. Maximum allowed number of treatments is not more than four! The last spraying should be carried out no later than 20 days before harvest!
- Treatment of powdery mildew and scab: dilute the drug at a rate of 2 ml per 10 liters of water. Waiting period 20 days, 3 processing.
- Treatment of coccomycosis, clusterosporiosis, curly leaves: dilute the drug at a rate of 2 ml per 10 liters of water.
- Treatment of spots, black spot: dilute the drug at a rate of 5 ml per 10 liters of water.
- Treatment of gray rot: dilute the drug at a rate of 4 ml per 10 liters of water.
- Treatment of alternariosis: dilute the drug at a rate of 3.5 ml per 10 liters of water. Waiting period 20 days, 3 processing.
- Treatment of oidium and other diseases on grapes: 5 ml per 10 liters of water (the dose can be increased 2 times). Alternate with Topaz. The first time with a set of buds or the beginning of flowering, the second - until the berries close in a bunch, then twice more every 10 days.
The flow rate of the working fluid is 10 liters per 100 m2 (up to 1 liter per plant).
Store Skor in a cool, dry dark room, no more than three years in unopened packaging. If the package is opened - with a ground lid, theoretically diphenoconazole is resistant to high temperatures and air oxygen, but the manufacturer does not give guarantees for storage for the opened package.
How to breed Skor
The optimal water temperature is 25 ° C - not cold, and not hot, warm. To process home flowers, it is better to dilute Skor using a medical syringe. The consumption rates are the same as for garden plants: 0.1-0.5 ml per 1 ml of water (depending on the disease).
Speed - reviews
Speed is a good enough fungicide, there are many positive reviews among gardeners, especially for scab, spots, alternariasis, especially for preventive purposes. Resistance of pathogens is moderate, unlike Horus (cyprodinil) with higher resistance, but still it is not worth using it more than three times. The best protection is if spraying is carried out before flowering or immediately after it.
Skor also has a number of disadvantages:
- The waiting period is quite long (about three weeks), and he has a very high drug consumption (high cost of working solution). In addition, Skor is ineffective against rust fungi, and in recent years there has been a high resistance of powdery mildew pathogens to drugs of the triazole class (including Skor, Chistotel, etc.).
- If the weather is perfect for oidium (dry and hot), do not rely only on Skor and Topaz, prepare Tiovit Jet, especially at a time close to picking berries.
- If you have serious problems with late blight and alternariosis on potatoes, instead of Skor, it is better to use "Revus Top" - a relatively new systemic translaminar fungicide, in addition to the same active substance as in Skor (diphenoconazole, 250 g/l), it contains mandipropamide (250 g/l) and is more effective - it has a shorter period expectations (about 5 days)
Another remark about Skor is that for home use it is available in plastic ampoules, when opening and squeezing the composition into a jar or bucket, part of the active substance remains in the ampoule. The advice is: squeeze whatever you can from the vial into the water, then cut the vial with a clerical knife on both sides and throw it in a jar or bucket, stir or shake the bottle/jar.
Scor fungicide compatibility
It is combined with many drugs against pests and diseases, for example, Actellic, Arrivo, Decis Extra, Zenith, Karate, Summi Alpha, Taurus, Topaz, Fastak, Falcon, Cimbush, etc. But you need to work immediately, within 1-2 hours. It is acceptable to use a very small amount of soap as a sticking agent. But on its own, Skor's solution lays well on the leaves and without sticker. Variant of spring processing of fruit and berry crops and plants, for example, roses: Skor + Fufanon + Epin + surfactant (with pH 5.5).
Security measures
The drug is not phytotoxic in the recommended doses, low toxic to humans, hazard class 3 for bees, not toxic to birds, earthworms. Moderately toxic to fish - avoid use near the fishery zone. When working, put a bandana on your head, gloves on your hands, and a respirator on your nose. Do not drink, do not smoke, and do not eat. In case of accidental ingestion - induce vomiting, rinse the stomach and seek medical help.
