Plumeria red Plumeria rubra is an eternally green shrub, with thick succulent shoots. Leaves on long petioles, elongated-oblong in shape, pointed at the end, grouped at the ends of shoots. The leaves are leathery with well-defined veins. Flowers are formed only on young branches, so the plant can be cut only with the end of flowering. Flowers are collected in corymbose inflorescences of 15-20 pieces. Corolla of a five-petalled flower, about 5 cm in diameter.

Plumeria is photophilous, after winter they are gradually accustomed to the sun, but in summer you need full sunlight.

Watering

Abundant in summer, the land should not dry out, but should not stagnate at the bottom of the pot either. From autumn to early spring, watering is much more moderate (depending on temperature), but does not stop, even if the plant sheds leaves.

Plumeria loves moist air, so plumeria is periodically sprayed, but so that water does not fall on the flowers.

Transplanted annually in spring in March-April. The soil should be nutritious: 2 part of clay-turf land, 1 part of sheet land, 1 part of humus and 1 part of sand. Good drainage is mandatory.
