Description: 6-9 wine-red, long-flowering flowers, with a diameter of 12 cm on a peduncle 35-50 cm. The flower arrow is green with a crimson tint, the pedicels are shiny, with a bright red tint, the ovaries are dark green. Usually 2-3 peduncles appear and develop simultaneously. The leaves are green, with a slight chocolate tinge at the tips, and often develop with the peduncle .
Elena (description): miniature dark red variety. Flowers are dark red with a dark throat, in the sun with an orange tint. Veins are clearly visible on the petals. Stamen filaments and pistil dark red, stigma white. Pedicels, bracts, peduncle with a purple tint. It flowers at the same time as the leaves.

Stunning bright rich red flowers with a darker throat and underside at the base. Stamens and pistil are red. The stigma is white. In the throat at the very base is a white triangle of cilia.

Description: usually 4-6 upward flowers of bright red color with a diameter of 16-17 cm on a peduncle 35-55 cm long. Sometimes a thin white vein, which is the remnant of the stamen thread, goes along the petal to the thickened white tip. Normal stamens and stigmas are rarely present. Usually each flower has 13-19 petals and up to 6 internal petals. An exceptionally strong hybrid, usually giving two peduncles from a bulb with a diameter of 9.5-10.5 cm and three from a bulb with a diameter of 10.8-12 cm. Mature dark green leaves may be present already during flowering.

The throat is dark red with a brown tinge. Flower diameter 15-20 cm.

In dissolution, the petals are bent and some petals may become agitated. The stamen filaments and column of the pestle are light yellow-green. Unopened anthers are light with a longitudinal red stripe. The pollen is light yellow. Flower arrow, pedicels, ovaries grayish-green with tan. The height of the flower arrow is 45-60 cm. There is no smell.

Differences between Prelude and Samba (from Elena's observations): in terms of color scheme, Prelude is very similar to Samba. But if you look closely at these varieties, you can find differences. The petals of Samba are wide and rounded, in Prelude the petals are slightly narrower, oval-rounded in shape. The flower shape of Prelude is closer to oval, Samba is more rounded. Samba has more curly petals closer to the throat.

On the flowers there is a beautiful pinkish-red mesh pattern on a light background. In the middle of each petal is a central light strip. The top three petals are more intensely colored. On the lower petal, the mesh pattern is almost invisible, and in two neighboring petals, the saturated mesh pattern is only on one half of the petal, in the second half - the pattern is pale. In full dissolution, the edge of the petals is wavy. The throat of the flower is light green. The pestle and stamen filaments are almost half red-pink, light green closer to the throat.

A light greenish radiant star is clearly visible in the throat of the flower. On the three upper petals, the rays reach almost to the middle, on the oars - almost to the end of the petals, visually dividing the petal symmetrically into two parts. One part, which is closer to the upper petals, has the same shade as the three upper petals, the other part (closer to the tongue) has a shade of tone lighter. Due to such color transitions, it seems that the three upper petals are more saturated than the lower ones. Usually 4-5 flowers are formed on a flower arrow, with a diameter of 12-15 cm. The petals are oblong, narrow, pointed to the tips. The pistil and stamen filaments are longer than the petals in dissolution. The perianth tube is short. Peduncle with tan.

Description of Alesya: The arrow grew very quickly. Only 3.5 weeks passed from the appearance of the arrow (and planting in the ground on 9.12.) To flowering (on 30.12 the cover burst, after a couple of days it blossomed). The height of the arrow is 44 cm, the arrow with an orange-pink tan, which is especially bright on the cover, 6 buds on the peduncle. Flowering lasted 12 days at room temperature (22 -24 ° C). Flowers 12-13 cm, drooping, half-open, warm pink-coral color (sail and wings) and yellowish-greenish with pink (oars and tongue). Stamen filaments are light pink, pollen yellow. The pestle is white, 14 cm long. There is no smell or nectar.
