Fighting thrips

Colleague: Trips hit the balcony the other day. I instantly sprayed the plants on the balcony with a confidor in the proportion of 1 gram per half liter of water. By evening, the dead thrips fell from the plants. I never saw them again. The confidor did not affect the plants in any way, they grow for themselves as they grew.

Kroky: From tick and thrips, I successfully used phytoverm spraying, enough for the first time, the second for my own calming. A week later, epin treatment was used to support the plants. Bazudin poured from mushroom mosquitoes into pots, it also helped. Bacterial infection with begonia was treated by spraying with a systemic fungicide from Bona Forte once.

Miss Violet:

1. If thrips appear on a plant, especially a flowering one, be sure to remove ALL flowers and buds, as thrips love to settle in them.

2. Since thrips has a complex development life cycle, one of the phases of which it spends in the ground, it is necessary not only to thoroughly spray the plant, but also to spill the soil.

3. It is necessary to carry out at least three treatments, observing intervals between them for 7 days at an ambient temperature of about 20-23 *. At a higher temperature, the trip cycle is accelerated and the intervals between treatments must be reduced to 5 days. At temperatures below 18 *, the poisons become ineffective and are not processed. These intervals must be observed so that the newly hatched individuals do not have time to lay eggs, otherwise the fight against thrips will be endless.

4. The concentration of phytoverm to fight thrips is 1 ampoule per glass of water. Unused solution shall not be stored.

Natali:

Thrips larvae are small whitish, very mobile "worms" - a scourge of gesnerium. These pests eat anthers from flowers, cause deformation of flowers and buds, not to mention leaves spoiled by punctures.

It is very difficult to fight trips on the senpoli collection. It is usually recommended to cut off all flowers and buds - this is where the thrips larvae hide. And sometimes it is possible to notice them only when severe damage is already visible. By the way, it has been noticed that blue flowers are especially attracted to thrips, although with mass reproduction, the color does not matter - they devour everything.

The fight against thrips is complicated by the fact that adult flying individuals easily hide in places inaccessible to insecticide spraying, and thrips lays eggs in the leaf tissue, and the pupa formed from the larva often falls to the ground, where, due to its immobility, it also goes unnoticed.

Therefore, in the fight against thrips, you need to spray plants, not sparing to remove flowers and buds, and water the ground with systemic insecticide.

In my opinion, one of the best means is actara. Dilute 4 g of the product for spraying with 5 liters of water. Spray senpoli from a fine sprayer, and thoroughly moisten the entire surface of the earth - for watering 1 g of the drug per 10 liters of water. Do not be lazy and make two solutions of different concentrations so as not to harm the plants.

Repeat processing in 7 days.
