The well-known "Agricola" Green Belt, whose products are quite popular in flower shops, also offers top dressing for orchids. This liquid complex fertilizer contains important mineral salts and humic substances. Manufacturers proudly refer to their fertilizers as "the plants' favorite drink." Shelf life guaranteed by the manufacturer is 2 years.
Very convenient packaging, traditionally for indoor plants a yellow bottle with a measuring cup, volume 250 ml. Fertilizer composition according to NPK 4:5:6, additionally microelements in chelate form (boron, copper, zinc, manganese, iron, molybdenum) and 0.8% humates. Intended for root dressing of various species of orchids. Of the minuses - the exact composition of trace elements is not indicated, while some orchids do not tolerate an overabundance of some substances, for example, zinc. At the same time, there are trace elements that orchids are important and need no less than other plants, for example, magnesium - it is involved in the formation of chlorophyll, but it is not here. In addition, the acid content of the solution is not indicated on the Agricola fertilizer for orchids.
Flow rates
Orchid agricole should be diluted at the rate of 5 ml of fertilizer per 1 liter of water, this solution should be used as ordinary watering water. It is undesirable to use top dressing more than once every 10-14 days, so on other days when watering is required, immerse the plants in clean warm water without fertilizers. For out-of-root feeding (according to the sheet), the flow rate should be less than 5 ml per 2 liters of water.
Tip: if you have orchids planted in fresh bark, the acidity of the solution during soaking can be quite high, on acidic soils there is a possibility of an overabundance of iron and manganese, since these elements are absorbed as well as possible on acidic soils (this includes pine bark). When there is an excess of these elements, the absorption of phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, molybdenum and other elements is disrupted. Therefore, it is advisable to check the acidity of the solution in which you immerse the orchid for watering, pH = 6 will be optimal, with such acidity of the nutrient solution, almost all micro and macro elements are evenly absorbed.
Fertilizer reviews
Anastasia Serpakova (Terezya): I liked this fertilizer. I have four phalaenopsis, grow in the bark and foam (in half), fertilize in winter 1 once a month, in summer 2 times a month, immerse for 20 minutes. They grow and bloom well. There is a peculiarity: one of the phalaenopsis waterlogged, there was a slight rotting (cured), but it had not to be watered by immersion, but sprayed, I diluted 5 ml for 2.5 liters of water, the norms of Agricola are not said, I was reinsured. Therefore, I warn those who love by eye - if anything, try to take a smaller dose, not more, especially if the orca is gaining buds.
Irina Kriulina (Irisha79): Good fertilizer in the sense that orches grow, periodically bloom, I did not notice the difference with other fertilizers, I feed them according to the instructions. The inscription on the bottle laughed: "stimulates the active growth of plants, flowering, gives flowers a bright color" - for active growth and flowering, different fertilizers are needed, at the beginning of growth you need more nitrogen. Therefore, I recommend this fertilizer only for flowering, for the growth of green leaves "Bona Forte for orchids" is better - there NPK 6:3:7 - it is just better for leaves, but for flowering it is no longer. I liked agricola with a measuring cup - it is more convenient than pouring into a cap and besides, fertilizer can be stored in the cold.
Lyudmila (lu-lu): I bought this fertilizer for phalaenopsis, but there was a lot of one liter of solution for it, so I poured the liquid from it onto other flowers, and everyone felt good, hibiscuses bloomed like mad. But for hibiscuses, I added a half dose of "Agricola for Blooms." She fed everyone every two weeks (+/- 2 days).
rukodelie.net/plants: Agricola for orchids is a good fertilizer and is suitable for any plants besides orchids, only you need to feed the rest of the blooms more often - once every 5 days at the rate of 5 ml per 1 liter of water, which is not advisable - it comes out expensive. A bottle of fertilizer costs 65-75 rubles. As for orchids, as Irina Criulina correctly noted, Bona Forte is more suitable for stimulating growth. In general, Agricola is no worse, and no better than other fertilizers for orchids, it is convenient to measure, the liquid can be easily mixed with water. Note that the presence of humic acids is excellent for those orchids that grow from an open root or on an inert substrate (coconut shell or foam). We recommend alternating this drug with other fertilizers for orchids, as in our opinion it is not balanced enough: there is no magnesium, sulfur, the composition is not fully known.
